Additional Details

Charles Max Mason (1877-1961) was a mathematician who spent most of his career at the University of Wisconsin; he also served as president of the University of Chicago, and did work on submarine detection at the Naval Experimental Station in New London, CT during World War One. The most obviously interesting item in this small archive is a humorous 1921 poem by a friend, Johns Hopkins physicist Robert Williams Wood, titled "Complimentary Science: The Einstein Theory."
