(SHADOWGRAPHY.) Wonderful group of 9 color lithographed shadow cards. Rectangular cards with cut-away circular centers into which a hand extends, each with a movable part. The cards have dark red backgrounds with vignettes portraying the shadow to be produced, most of which are animal figures. Various defects including creases and cracks, one card broken in two. A remarkable survival, but should be seen. Np, circa 1890s.
