Also with three typed letters to New Directions concerning the publication. The first, by William Carlos Williams to New Directions editor James Laughlin recommending the manuscript (1 page, 8vo, 27 August 1955), one from Shahn accepting the project (1 page, 8vo, 5 March, 1956), and one from Dahlberg discussing the book, Williams, and Shahn, (2 pages, single 8vo sheet, 5 October 1957); both letters to Robert MacGregor at New Directions.
