Colonel William Augustine Washington (1757-1810) was the son of George Washington's older half-brother Augustine. He was named as an executor in George Washington's will. By this deed, wealthy plantation owner John Tayloe III (1770-1828) deeds to Col. Washington for the sum of five shillings "a female negro slave named Jenny, to have and to hold the said slave and her increase, to him and his Heirs for ever."
