Anthony Benezet (1713-1784) prominent Quaker educator and philanthropist, was born in France but emigrated to America where he devoted his life and energies to the eradication of slavery. He is the author of numerous anti-slavery works, translated into several languages. The present work attempted to show the civilization and humanity of the African.
