first and second editions, respectively. Eleannor Eldridge's little books were printed and sold to raise money for her ongoing battle to defend herself and her property in the courts of Rhode Island. Eldridge had a cleaning business and after falling ill, and unable to work, her modest property was seized by the court to pay off debts.
