Additional Details

One of a string of broadsides satirizing the July celebrations commemorating the 1807 abolition of the slave trade. Like most of these broadsides, it's not an affectionate satire. The printer of this broadside is not named, but the address of "211 Water Street, near Fulton" is given. Christian Brown printed numerous broadsides from this address through at least 1833, including at least one other Bobalition broadside. The address is presently the site of the Bowne Print Shops run by the South Street Seaport Museum. We trace no other examples in OCLC or at auction.
