Lafayette County, MO, 5 July 1842 "A negro woman, black complexion about twenty-five years of age named Avra, and her child Walston, about three years old, a boy mulatto, both slaves for life . . . a negro man slave named Milton, black and about twenty-one years old" from William S. Oldham to John B. Banks and Rufus G. Harper. Washington County, TX, 15 February 1861 "Abram, a man about 50 years of age, his wife Cilla about thirty-five years of age and her three children to wit, Alford about seven years of age, Judy about two years of age and six months, and Patty an infant about one month old," plus land, from James Caldwell to William R.
