Additional Details

One of the more interesting of the Emancipation Proclamations. This one shows a full length portrait of Lincoln in the center; his right hand rests on the manuscript of the Proclamation, his left held to his hip. Behind him, in cursive script is the entire Proclamation, wreathed above with the American Eagle, Justice, and a slave with the American flag to his left; below the Proclamation is bordered with a floral wreath. Eberstadt, #45.
