Additional Details

The first receipt is for "the purchase of a negro girl by the name of Amniah[?]" for $345, signed by the sellers William W. Moody, J.B. Goode, and Richard Goode and witnesses, dated 21 January 1823. The second is for "one negro slave Albert," sold by Joseph Henderson for $725 on 25 March 1830.
