rare, only the second copy we have seen. A fine example of this chromolithograph celebrating three of the nineteenth century's most important African-American statesmen. The background vignettes contrast scenes from slavery days on the plantation, with scenes in the schoolroom and on the battlefield. A copy of this lithograph can be seen on the Library of Congress's African American Odyssey exhibit website.
