Ford has signed the front of the letter as was common. Mrs. Selden says she regrets not being able to furnish Washington with the services of one of her slaves as a 'stalker' (a must when hunting). 'I am very sorry to hear that Nellie is sick, and I hope she will be well enough to come up and meet the bridal party on Thursday. I received a letter from Eliza today in which she says they will bring no company with them. It will give great pleasure to them and to Mrs. Washington. . . She talks about the gathering at Mt Ida, her estate and who will be coming to the wedding on Thursday
