Additional Details

States the obligation of Pedro Munoz of Arequipa, Peru to pay Gaspar Gómez 370 pesos for two female slaves once they arrive in La Paz, described as two light-skinned mulattos, with their brands illustrated in the text of the document: one an upside-down sign of Venus, repeated on the other with the addition of something like a heart: "dos mulatos rucias que en una tiene un hierro en una pierna de esta manera [brand] y la otra an la pierna izquierda con dos hierros de esta forma [two brands]."
