Additional Details

A very detailed document, assuring the parents of Sarinia, "Being solicitors for the welfare of their daughter Sarinia. . ." that not only will she be learning the occupation of house servant; cooking sewing etc; but assuring them too that she will be tutored "in the elements of the English language, to wit, in reading writing and arithmetic. . ." From the language of this agreement, it is implicit that Mr. Mitchell was acquainted with these poor people, who were forced to give up their child.
