Describes the runaway as "About 22 years old, very small for his age, perhaps not more than four feet six inches high, strong and active, stout legs, dark mottled skin; had on, when he absconded, round about pantaloons of country made cloth, cotton worp and wool filling, slightly fulled and dyed, apparently brown or mixed the worp not taking the dye, and the yarn apparently brown, coarse shoes and stockings. James has been accustomed to house work and is an excellent waiter . . . Isaac Duckett, December 27, 1813."
