Additional Details

These photographs were apparently all taken in the Philippines during the period of American suppression of the Philippine independence movement between 1899 to 1902 following the Spanish-American War. 4 of the photographs depict the corpses of insurgents shortly after a battle, some of them piled in trenches. The others show a variety of American soldiers, Filipinos, and camp and town scenes.
