Additional Details

This photograph captures a tense discussion between the umpire and members of both teams, gathered around third base. The Barons catcher walks away, apparently in frustration.

We have been unable to identify the field or date. The best clue is probably the scoreboard in the background, which shows the scores of the four white National League games that day. However, we have not yet found a day where Pittsburgh visited New York and led 4-0 in the ninth inning, the other teams were in the proper cities, and the Monarchs faced the Black Barons. Somebody should be able to figure out that puzzle!
