Additional Details

Apollo 15 was the first of what were known as the "J Missions," in which the astronauts resided on the Moon for lengthier periods of time. In this case David Scott and James Irwin spent three days on the Moon to conduct various scientific experiments and explore the area using the first lunar rover.
