The State of Mexico printing of a 2 April presidential decree, pardoning political crimes committed since 1835, but specifically not including those who aided the Texans in their war for independence: "no comprendera a los que hayan hecho causa comun con los enemigos de la integridad del territorio." The second part grants amnesty to those already in prison or even in active service against the government, if they immediately present themselves to the nearest commander and surrender their weapons.
