A local State of Mexico printing of an important decree by the Mexican Congress, announcing that the United States plans to annex Texas, and urging all Mexican citizens to rise up against this affront to the national dignity. Within a year, the two nations were at war. This printing is headed "El Ciudadano Manuel Rincón General de División y Gobernador constitucional del Departamento de México." 3 examples in OCLC, and none traced at auction.
