Letterpress broadside, 15 1/4 x 21 3/4 inches, on 4 conjoined sheets signed in type by Molinos as governor of the Distrito Federal, plus 4 attached broadsides, each 15 1/2 x 12 1/2 inches, all pasted together on top edge; folds, minimal wear. An order to create military units to protect the northern frontier. Begins "Por la Secretaría de Estado y del despacho de la guerra y marina, se me há comunicado el decreto que sigue," and quotes a 21 March decree by Congress which begins: "Sabed, que el congreso general ha decretado lo siguiente : 1o. se adopta el sistéma de compañias presidiales para la defensa de los Estados internos de Oriente, Occidente, y Territorio de Nuevo-México." Attached are summary tables of the budgets required for each of the states of Chihuahua, Sonora y Sinaloa (including 94 troops in Tucson), Coahuila y Tejas (showing 6118 troops to be stationed in San Antonio de Bejar), Tamaulipas, and Nuevo México, each dated February 1826.
