first edition thus, with the 158-page addendum on Texas and its revolution. Lorraine T. Pease, who wrote the Texas section, was father of Texan revolutionary Elisha T. Pease. Streeter asserts that "the value of this contemporary account . . . compiled by the father of one of the participants, has been overlooked" and describes it as "extremely scarce, especially with the fine Texas map.'
