Together, three spot illustrations featuring reel-to-reel tapes for a feature by Renata Adler, published in the "Onward & Upward with the Arts" section of The New Yorker, February 13, 1965, one illustration with The New Yorker stamps and editorial marks on verso. Watercolor and gouache on paper. Average image size 203x229 mm; 8x9 inches on paper cut to various dimensions, glued along edges to card stock. Each cleverly signed with Birnbaum's name drawn out as the last unspooled piece of tape.
