Additional Details

Goennel's work for the New Yorker started as spot drawings and later grew to include covers. These led to a successful career as a children's book author and illustrator. Her illustrations have appeared on cards for MoMA and other museums as well as publications in Asia, including the animation of one of her books for a kid's TV show in Japan.
