Blechman (1930 - ) is an American cartoonist, an Emmy award-winning animator, children's book author, and graphic novelist. In the mid 1960s, Blechman received acclaim for his revolutionary commercial for Alka-Seltzer featuring a man arguing with his stomach (voiced by Gene Wilder.) In 2003, his career was celebrated by a retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art. He was inducted into the Society of Illustrators Hall of Fame in 2012.
