(THE OFFICE)
Album containing 21 photographs depicting members of the Drybrough Co., apparently a Kentucky-based bottling firm that may have been related to the British brewery of the same name. The photographs focus on the "human side" of the company; its product appears nowhere. The album opens with a a picture of the president and founder working at his desk; the VP and general counsel are depicted similarly. Pictures of the staff have slogans like "United for Service," "Designed for Efficiency," "Quality in Everything," and "Merited Relaxation." Silver prints, 7 1/4x9 1/4 inches (18.4x23.5 cm.), linen backed, with caption information in the negative. Oblong 4to, black cloth, twin-bolt binding. 1924-1925

Additional Details

There's an austere quality about the men depicted in the album, who have the pinched expressions associated with corporate culture--even when photographed at the company banquet! However, these are offset by images of women working and socializing, who are beautifully attired and manage a subtle smile while working.
