Thin 8vo, blue wrappers, spine browned and separating but professionally repaired. With an inscription on title-page by Rascoe: "This is a first edition and a true copy of a now rare pamphlet. A paragraph was cut out for the Smart Set Anthology under threat of libel suit by Knopf." He is referring to page 33 where a paragraph concerning Mencken and Dreiser's break over the latter refusing to contribute to a fund to save the publication The American Mercury.
