A group of four photographs documenting African American sharecroppers cotton picking (2) and its packing and storage (2).
The group includes two photographs that feature African American cotton pickers (one in Tennessee) and two that show the packing and storage of cotton in the South (one in Arkansas). Silver (3) and printing-out paper prints, the images measuring approximately 7 1/2x9 1/2 inches (19.1x24.1 cm.), one on a mount just slightly larger, each with at least a partial caption, one extended, in ink or in pencil and two with dates (1904 and 1912), and each with the Culver Pictures stamp, label, and barcode, on verso. 1890s-1912
