(THEATRE.) SONDHEIM, STEPHEN. Ink drawing Signed, doodle [made during meeting concerning compensation for Angela Lansbury's performance in 1974 Broadway revival production of Gypsy]. Collector has typed a description on a slip of paper, pasted it to lower edge of doodle, and Sondheim signed at lower right across both the doodle and the slip of paper. The legible text incorporated into the doodle includes: "$80,000," "Angela [Lansbury]," "Orch[estra]," and "Frank Milton [theatrical producer]." Sondheim has drawn over a dozen flowing vertical lines on verso that echo similar lines on recto. 13½x8½ inches, ruled pale yellow legal pad paper; cello tape remnants of mounting at corners verso, irregular upper edge, folds.
