first edition. Describes the author's trip to New York, Philadelphia, the West Indies, New Orleans, Louisville, and Niagara Falls. Most notably, Montulé went up the Mississippi in the Vesuvius, which was just the third steamboat to make the voyage. The text volumes are not uncommon, but only one other copy of the atlas has been seen at an American auction since 1972.
