Includes ornate architectural details, lavishly decorated home interiors, street vendors and their shops bursting with wares, in situ and studio portraits of Tunisian women and children, river views, and 4 richly hand-colored bazaar scenes; eleven of the prints are credited to J. André Garrigues. Albumen (14) prints, silver (7) prints, and photochromes (4), the images measuring 5 1/4x3 3/4 to 8 3/4x11 inches (13.3x9.5 to 22.2x27.9 cm.), more than half with the photographers' credit, title, location and/or inventory notation, in the negative.
