(UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY)
An album with 20 color photographs to promote the newest luxury passenger Vista-Dome trains. 1958.

The highly stylized photographs showcase the travel accommodations on the Union Pacific Railroad's newest Astra Dome equipment, including cozy bunkers, a beautiful dining room with tall glass windows to view the scenery, spaces to work and play, and more. Dye transfer prints, the images each measuring 13⅛x10⅜ inches (33.3x26.4 cm.), and the reverse, mounted recto/verso to white cards that are slightly larger, 15 with a typed caption label on the mount; enclosed in plastic sleeved pages. Small folio, brown gilt-lettered leather; metal ring binding

The album is accompanied by three letters issued by the General Passenger Traffic Manager with the name of the addressees and several promotional goodies, including a matchbook and four branded golf tee packets, plus a Northern Pacific Railway schedule pamphlet.

These albums were produced each year in a limited number (25) and distributed to the company's largest offices across the U.S.A. They were aimed to be used in solicitation of business and kept handy to the ticket counter or desk where vacationists were interviewed.
