The quadruple-screw "Leviathan" was the Hamburg-American "Vaterland" in its earlier life. She joined the United Lines' fleet after serving as an American troopship during World War I. She made her maiden voyage for the United States Lines in 1923. She was removed from service in 1934 and scrapped in 1938.
