(UNITED STATES LINES.) "Leviathan." Two engraved Certificates of Classification issued by the American Bureau of Shipping for the "Leviathan." One of a general class certificate giving the ship an "A1" classification. The second is a "Certificate of Classification of Machinery" with a class of "AMS" awarded. Both with details of the ship typed in; both on folio sheets, with signatures of Bureau officials and official affixed seals. 25 June 1923
The "Leviathan" is registered as vessel "215446." The certificate of classification notes that she was built in Germany and reconditioned in 1923. She is registered with a gross tonnage of 59956 tons. Her owner is listed as the United States Shipping Board. Accompanied by a contemporary photostatic copy of a Certificate of Registry issued by the Bureau of Navigation within the United States Department of Commerce.
