Album entitled "Property of the Newport Police Dept., Wanted and Unwanted Persons," with the hand stamp of E. E Chambers applied multiple times. With more than 60 photographs, comprising 58 war-time mug shots of seasoned male and female criminals throughout Oregon and Washington states. The pictures were apparently compiled by Police Chief Gigliardi of Newport, Oregon and are pasted onto pink-and-blue lined expense account sheets; includes newspaper clippings of criminals who escaped and the date they were apprehended, photographs of footprints, and an mugshot labeled "Escaped" on verso. Silver prints, 3x5 inches (7.6x12.7 cm.), many with detailed information on verso. 4to, red cloth with typewritten label containing hand stamps and notations, edgewear. 1930s-1942
