Additional Details

This collection runs the gamut from 14 issues of the long-running Spooner's Vermont Journal dating back to 1786, to an issue of John Humphrey Noyes's free-love utopian monthly The Witness, published in Putney in 1839; to an issue of the antislavery Voice of Freedom (Brandon, VT), 1846. True obscurities include the lithographed satirical Barbed Wire of Rutland from 1890 (not traced in Chronicling America or OCLC); the complete 15 issues of the Musical Library of Bellows Falls from 1848 to 1849, issued with sheet music (one run listed in OCLC); and a previously unrecorded issue of the Brattleboro Hydropathic Messenger from 15 May 1858. Complete list upon request.
