Pope of his extensive travels throughout Alaska, the United States, Canada, and Mexico comprising disasters such as the San Francisco earthquake, the Baltimore fire, and locomotive accidents; documentation of settlements in remote areas of Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, California, Washington, British Columbia, Mexico, Cuba, Honduras, and more; records of the native occupants performing daily tasks such as washing clothes, selling their wares at market, preparing meals or posed in their native costumes; diverse modes of transportation including steamer, ferry, horseback, wagon, etc; interspersed with photographs of family and friends.
