From the collection of Agnes Schneider. The Nuremberg Trial, was the first of its kind in history. On November 20, 1945, Nazi Germany's political, military, and economic leaders accused of crimes against humanity were tried. Hermann Goering, Rudolph Hess, Albert Speer, Joachim von Ribbentrop, Martin Bormann, and Konstantin Freiherr von Neurath were among the accused, as well as Ernst Kaltenbrunner, Fritz Saukel, WIlhelm Keitel, and SS officer Baldur von Schirach. Two of the photographs depict an overview of the proceedings; others show Speer flanked by military police; Goering sneering at the camerman; Hess in the dock; a cell in the Nuremberg jail; von Ribbentrop testifying; with many miscellaneous courtroom scenes of unidentified figures.
