A patriotic poem in 42 stanzas issued at the close of the War of 1812, in honor of "the happy return of peace." "View our brave soldiers in the West / with gallant Jackson at their head / Their noble efforts have been blest / They have to victory been led." Only one copy in OCLC (a "mutilated" example at the American Antiquarian Society), and none found at auction. Provenance: sold by M&S Rare Books from their 1984 catalogue to the consignor.
