Additional Details

Broncho Charlie Miller (1849?-1955) was an expert horseman and lasso artist who performed with Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show for many years. He was often billed as the last surviving Pony Express rider, though he was likely too young to have served. This tribute to Miller's heroism was penned by New Jersey poet-artist Howard Clinton Dickinson (1866-1944).
