Taken in the wake of the gang's aborted bank robbery in Northfield, Minnesota. Includes original post-mortem portraits of the three gang members who were killed in the gunfight and subsequent chase: Bill Chadwell, Clell Miller, and Charlie Pitts A group post-mortem portrait of Chadwell and Miller and a portrait of bank cashier Joseph Lee Heywood, who was killed for refusing to open the safe. Bill Chadwell's photo bears the backmark of photographer E.F. Everett of Mankato, a group portrait of Chadwell and Miller has the backmark of F.V. Bingham of Northfield, while the other three were produced by unknown photographers.
