Additional Details

Photographs of a state-of-the-art silver mine in the former boom town of Bonanza. They had recently upgraded to electric power, and boasted that "locomotives are now used for haulage, in place of mules." Many of the shots show miners and tunnels.

The map of Bonanza is dated June 1917. Newspaper coverage shows that the aerial tramway depicted here was under construction in early 1918, but the planned new mill discussed here was declared abandoned by 7 January 1919 per the San Francisco Journal of Commerce. The population of Bonanza was down to 17 as of the 2020 census. We trace no examples of this pamphlet in OCLC, at auction, or elsewhere.
