A sweeping portrait of Portland during its most rapid period of growth. The photographer Lars Christian Henrichsen (1839-1924) was a Danish immigrant whose primary work was as a jeweler and optician. He was a member of the Oregon Camera Club, and some of his negatives are held by the Oregon Historical Society. This self-published panorama remains his best-known work.
