A history of affairs in Texas through April 1836. Another work published by Cumplido in 1849 with the same author and title is basically an entirely new work, with discussion of the 1836-37 period. "The best account by a Mexican contemporary of the American conquest of Texas. . . . No other Mexican commander had the range of experiences nor the intimate personal knowledge of Texan affairs that Filisola had"--Jenkins, Basic Texas Books 62.
