An important and quite scarce atlas, of particular note for its coverage of the western states and territories. This edition of 1879 was substantially expanded from the so-called Centennial Atlas, issued by the GLO in '76; that atlas contained 18 maps. Not in Rumsey. Phillips, Atlases, 1405.
