The card from the Canadian correspondent carries a sobering message regarding the loss of the ship, "It's a long time since I heard from any of you & I fear the mail carrying your last letters was on this ill-fated boat. Isn't it an awful disaster? Have just sent dear old Pa a paper with full account of the wreck."
