Advertising music performances at the Sled Hill Café, in Woodstock, N.Y. The Sled Hill Café was a popular after-hours bar, restaurant, and music venue where musicians such as Van Morrison, Bob Dylan and The Band gathered, jammed, and drank into the early morning hours. While music venues like The Joyous Lake, the Purple Elephant, and Café Espresso were on Woodstock's main drag, the Sled Hill was a backstreet bar in what was left of Woodstock's art colony. The cafe operated until the early 1970's.
The performers included in this lot are: singer/songwriter and slide guitarist, Ellen McIlwaine; blues/rock singer and star of Hair on Broadway, Martha Velez; the duo known as Avron & Jef featuring singer/songwriter, Jef Labes and flautist, Avron Alberts; The Rounders; Kevin Kearn; and Are & Be.
Also included, is one generic "Open Tonite" sign.
Jerominek was one of four artists who founded the Woodstock School of Art in 1968.
