With personal and poetic glimpses into a soldier's daily life, including scenes in barracks, buddy portraits, views from the trenches and others depicting the aftermath of battle, camp scenes, banquets with officers, and 2 postcards of the Neues Juedisches Krankenhaus - Haptegbaeude, in Berlin, where the photographer-soldier went to recover, with pictures of the staff and other patients.
