Additional Details

These posters helped recruits learn the difference between the various kinds of military aircraft in the skies, both Axis and Allies--a skill which was not only useful for gathering intelligence, but for a pilot or air defense crew, could mean the difference between life and death. Each shows which nations were deploying the craft (United States, United Kingdom, France, Japan, Italy or Japan), its basic function (bomber, reconnaissance, fighter, transport, etc.), and front, side, and top views.
