Group of 50 photographs, many by Mayfield, comprising 6 of flying machines designed by the brothers (3 depicting the flyers in the air), 6 of Orville and Wilbur and//or Orville alone, a picture of William Preston Mayfield with his camera, street scenes in Dayton, Ohio, views of motors and parts, plus a picture of the Wright Bros.' bicycle, their shop (where the first plane was built), photographic records depicting drawings of planes and devices to test air flow, parades honoring the Wrights' invention, the flyer on display in the Dayton auditorium, an image of Mayfield, Orville Wright's estate, the aftermath of a crash, commemorative scenes and more. Silver prints, 8x10 inches (20.3x25.4 cm.), and smaller, many by William Preston Mayfield, with his "Aero-Photo" hand stamp on verso and Burton's notations. 1910-1940s; many are printed later
